This is the new ProMod starter we developed. It was designed to turn Big motors fast. About 50% faster! The starter is only 2lbs. heavier than the 3hp Hitachi, but delivers over 4.5hp on 12 volt (approximately 8hp on 24 volts vs. app. 5hp for the Hitachi). We use this HP. to turn the engine faster. On a typical big inch engine (500 ci alc. blower motor) at 16 volts it will turn it way over 400 rpm more than enough to light that MSD mag.
It comes with a 12 tooth pinion which goes with our 139 tooth flexplate or a flywheel with a 139 tooth ring gear. It will fit on the right or left (no oil filter) side of a Chevy block with no changes. It comes with our Multiposition nose plate for solenoid adjustments in 9 degree movements. The mounting plate drops the motor down some what in relation to the crank. The price is $475.00
